| | Wow, it's been a long time since I posted some updates in here! Well, let me tell you, it's NOT because I haven't had any projects to be posting about! Quite the opposite, really...
Anyhow, currently, I'm working on redesigning some superheroes for a client. They're brand new, never been introduced to the public, so I'm not allowed to say anything about them or post pictures yet, but basically, when they designed them (they're kind of cartoony, for kids--not like PEOPLE-superheroes), they didn't really take into account how they'd look in 3D. In fact, the way they are right now, they CAN'T really be in 3D. So it's MY job to draw these characters (there are five of them) from various angles so they can actually come to life and still look as close to the original sketches as possible. It is tough going, LET me tell you!!
Word to the wise--if you ever decide to design some superheros, make sure you have a sheet of character art featuring angles other than the 2D frontal view, because if you DON'T, there's a good chance you'll never be able to have that exact character as an inflatable. And that would just be devastating. Yes. Yes, it would.
